"Black Leg" Sanji (サンジ Sanji) is the Straw Hat Pirates' cook. Es batu di restoran cepat saji China lebih kotor dari air toilet

Sebuah penelitian di China menunjukkan hasil yang mengejutkan. Mereka menemukan bahwa es batu pada restoran KFC dan McDonalds di China mengandung bakteri 13 kali lebih banyak dibandingkan air toilet. Hasil ini ditemukan setelah reporter di China melakukan investigasi dan percobaan.
Reporter dari China Central Television (CCTV) melakukan uji coba pada es yang ada di restoran cepat saji Beijing seperti KFC, McDonalds, dan restoran Kungfu. KFC mencatat jumlah bakteri yang paling banyak dengan jumlah 900 koloni per milimeter.
Es batu yang ada pada McDonalds jauh lebih sedikit namun masih berada di atas batas national, yaitu sebanyak 120 koloni per milimeter. Sementara tingkat bakteri pada restoran bernama Kungfu enam kali lebih banyak dibanding air toilet.
Tingginya jumlah bakteri berarti semakin tinggi pula kesempatan untuk pelanggan terkena penyakit seperti disentri dan diare. Beberapa penyebab tingginya bakteri ini antara lain mesin es yang kotor, proses sterilisasi yang buruk, atau kesalahan karyawan seperti tak mencuci tangan, dan lainnya.
Laporan di China tak menunjukkan secara pasti jenis bakteri apa saja yang ada dalam es batu tersebut. Menurut ahli keamanan makanan Dong Qingli, jumlah bakteri sebenarnya tak terlalu mengkhawatirkan. Yang lebih penting adalah mengetahui bakteri apa yang ada di dalamnya, dan bakteri mana yang bisa berbahaya, seperti dilansir oleh NY Daily News (22/07).
Hasil ini membuat pihak KFC, McDonalds, dan restoran cepat saji Kungfu meminta maaf pada konsumen dan berjanji untuk meningkatkan standar kebersihan restoran mereka.(merdeka/23/7/13)
